P-04-517 Stop the Welsh Assembly Government from bringing in the monitoring of electively home educated children under the guise of safeguarding

Petition wording:

Serious case reviews have shown that the authorities not elective home education have let children down. The government signed up to the rights of the child in 2004 which states that they will consult with children before changing things that effect them. They are not consulting our children who have already shown last year that they are against monitoring in a different consultation. We, therefore, call upon the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to stop bringing in the monitoring of electively home educated children under the guise of safeguarding.
